I wrote this to accompany my first picture.
My first picture was taken when I was 3 moths old. It was taken at
Jones studio in Broad St, Reading in 1948. Sadly no longer there. This
was the custom then for those with new babies, even though cash was
hard to come by then. Unbelievably, I still have the memory of the
photographer under the black cloth which was fixed to his plate
camera. The studio interior was draped with brown and deep red
curtains. I have no doubt that this moment stirred the beginings of my
life long interest and fascination with photographs. So much so that
by the time that I was 3 years old I could read quite well. Every
Sunday we had a newspaper named The Sunday Pictorial which was
full cover to cover with black and white photographs ranging through
all interest and genres. Beneath each was a descriptive legend from
which I learned the form and sound of many words. My mother would
tell me how to pronounce the longer words as I had soon mastered
the conjunctions.
All my photos are free to use. Royalty free and without any restrictions. Todays shot was taken of the sun setting over a lake, which we were camping by.
Well that doesn’t seem to bad, though work is still needed. Don’t forget to view my free photo site. They really are free to download no spam or registration required, just right click on enlarged image and copy to your P.C. Please note not all my images are uploaded yet as I have thousands. anyway, I digress.
Another photo is posted here of another dream that I saw today a Harley Davidson Motorbike. Feel free to use these pictures in you photoshop designs. If adobe doesn’t mind why should I ?
I had a day out today and the subject of this photo had me day dreaming. This old Mercedes – Benz fire engine reminded me of my childhood dream of being a fireman. Things that might of been ? Well I’m still here trying to work out my free photo website and this blogging thing, hoping the format of this one works out better than the others
